Homeschooling with Sonlight – 50 States Unit Study
Embracing the spirit of a New Year, my homeschooling journey takes an exciting turn with Sonlight’s Literature-based Christian Curriculum. As a homeschooler who values simplicity, Sonlight’s all-in-one solution is a game-changer. Offering zero-prep, fully planned lessons, and a flexible schedule, it caters to Pre-K thru 12 with a biblical perspective. Our exploration begins with the 50 States Unit Study, a vibrant journey through the USA. Armed with ‘The 50 States’ book and the Instructor’s Guide, Cash and I delve into 36 weeks of captivating lessons, creating our own State History Notebook. The curriculum’s ‘no-prep’ promise holds true, making each week’s activities a breeze. Week One brought a creative twist as Cash designed his State notebook cover, sparking engaging conversations. Week Two, an exploration of Alabama, turned a 15-minute activity into an hour of map study and travel tales. The curriculum’s flexibility allows us to study additional states, enhancing our homeschool experience. Keen to follow our journey? Stay tuned for updates on The 50 States Unit Study and a glimpse into Science Level C with Sonlight. If curiosity strikes, explore Sonlight’s diverse catalog and enjoy free samples.
