Organization is not my strong point. People that don’t know me see a mama with all her ducks in a row and respectful, intelligent kids. Those that actually know the real me, know I’m a mess. I’m a last minute planner and scatter brain who simply got lucky with the kids. I’ve got to do better. I’ve always wanted to have my life together – for real – and Beehive just might get me there!
Beehive is the ultimate parenting app that finally gets your life right. If you’re a homeschool parent, take that last statement and multiply it by two. Their household management platform organizes your daily life, tracks your kids’ progress, and provides personalized learning content. Yep. All that. You need to keep up with grades? Beehive handles that using one simple mobile application. You input the data and they do the rest.
How do I use Beehive?
Beehive is an inclusive mobile app for parents available in either iOS or Android. Download the app on your favorite mobile device and get to work. In addition to the app, you’ll be able to access Beehive’s Insights and Resources on their website as well as receive their newsletter full of helpful parenting tips. Once you access the app, use it to track all of your daily activities. Missing your paper planner? Need to coordinate your schedule with your spouse? Beehive has all of those options right at your fingertips.
To add your schedule, grades, appointments, or access lessons, select from “What’$ Next”, “School”, or “ Growth Plan” along the bottom menu. When adding items you can choose if a selection applies specifically to you, your child, and/or spouse. The App is intuitive and simple to use with little to no previous app experience. Add pictures, or detailed instructions to your entries if needed. Just plug in your info and go.

Beehive is all about making life easy. As a homeschooler are you worried your kids aren’t hitting learning milestones or meeting standards for their grade level? Check out their customized Growth Plan! We didn’t get to use this section of the app as much as I would have liked – My son’s constant complaint was “I know this already” – but as a mama of a gifted learner, it’s still good to know we aren’t skipping things he needs to know despite all the academic acceleration. The classes are clear, engaging, and interactive. It never hurts to have that extra reassurance things are going well and that the kids are still hitting those benchmarks.

My favorite part of Beehive is the portability of the planner and the ability to share that schedule with my husband. We’re packed all week long (and the weekends) with tennis lessons, Spanish classes, virtual coding workshops, book clubs, and for both my son and I, events and meetings for our Friends of the Library obligations – without Beehive in my pocket, my “Mommy Brain” is sure to mix some of those things up. Instead, a quick check of our “What’s Next” section of the app puts me right back on track. And my hubby doesn’t go crazy wondering where we are either.
