Find your Community with iugo.world

Disclaimer: I was compensated for my time in exchange for my honest review.

I love our homeschool community. If you need a mentor parent, or have a burning learning at home question, you can search YouTube, ask a question in a Facebook group, or follow your favorite homeschool influencer on TikTok or Instagram. There are lots of options, but with so many voices out there, where do you go for clear, concise answers, standards by state and grade level, as well as supplemental, vetted resources? You can find your new community with iugo.world !

iugo.world is a brand new, online community platform, built with homeschoolers in mind. It’s name, pronounced “U-Go” means “Connect it”, “ Pulls us together” and it does just that for the entire homeschool community. No matter what homeschool philosophy you prefer (or none at all), iugo.world has something for everyone. iugo.world is everything a homeschooler needs in one place created by a homeschool mom with roots in International Baccalaureate education and the credentials to go with it. This isn’t a large company trying to tap into the homeschool market – this is a passion project – built for us and by us.

There are two ways to enjoy iugo.world – the iugoCONNECT Plan and the iugoPRO Plan. Both are very economical but the iugoPRO plan includes additional options including live classes, and optional enrollment into iugo World Academy Umbrella School.

“What will I find on iugo.world?“

iugo.world is a collaboration between its users and the company. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, you only need to ask for it. You’re witnessing the beginning of something new that will lessen the need for social media chat groups with more opinions than vetted information. I was impressed with sections on the platform for local events, field trips, competitions and fairs and other options to bring homeschools together worldwide.

Need homeschool laws and state standards? They’ve got them. A simple search from within the site pulls up information for all 50 states. Need a homeschool consultant? Included in the general membership are twice weekly consultations. Need to find information on Gifted Homeschooling? Just check out their specialty groups. Need Homeschool Resources and Curriculum? You’ll find courses and guidelines for K-12 in both English and Spanish. Join in iugo.world’s weekly lessons – we’re taking a live Spanish course for students that are ages 10 – 13. Most classes are broken into three age groups and it’s all included!

“How are you using iugo.world?

I see a lot of resources, spend extensive time on social media, read and research, and as an eclectic unschooler, I piece quite a few things together to make my homeschool work. Having a Gifted Learner with abilities and interests all over the place makes using a single source extremely difficult and having a personalized learning plan is paramount. During my “Welcome” meeting with Windy Fama of iugo.world, I immediately felt I was talking to my homeschool twin. She worldschooled her own children and took her experiences to complete the rigorous requirements to open an International Baccalaureate School.

Parents of Gifted Homeschoolers… I need you to read that last line again.

With a strong emphasis on global citizenship and academic excellence from a homeschool stance, I couldn’t wait to dive into both the web based platform and the app.

And… it’s wonderful!

I see so much use and potential in iugo.world already and the site just opened at the end of August 2023. Since becoming a member I’ve already used it to research up to date information on Gifted Learning, voice my opinions in community chat groups, sign my child up for live Spanish lessons, print quick but useful hands-on resources for lesson supplements, and check out standards for guidance on 4th grade learning. The app is already downloaded on both my phone and tablet and I’ve got the site saved on my computer. Even though I homeschool in a state that does not need a cover or requires reporting, I’m also considering the $50 yearly fee for the umbrella school to handle report cards and transcripts, which could come in handy if my son decides to homeschool into high school to circumvent any stress that comes along with records needed for dual enrollment, scholarships, college admissions, or graduation.

Be at the forefront of this innovative homeschool community. I encourage you to try iugo.world and see for yourself all that it has to offer. You won’t regret it. Oh, and if anybody asks, tell them @Mamasweetbaby sent you.
