Who’s ready to take their kids on a trip around the world?
Slowly, but surely I’m determined to do just that, but until then, I’m globetrotting with The Landmark Kids.
The Landmark Kids is an educational subscription box for ages 7 – 12, that introduces your kids to a new country each month. But it’s not that simple. Don’t expect a boring kit with coloring sheets and a map – The Landmark Kids makes the learning relevant and fun through cool graphic stories, mind tingling puzzles, tasty recipes and a chance to remember the journey with their own souvenirs.
The box we received this month was FRANCE! 🇫🇷

Fittingly we were already studying France because of the Summer Olympics and making the real life connections really made the unit extra special. The places my son explored on the beautiful interactive map included with the kit, he could easily point out and give the family a mini history lesson all because of The Landmark Kids. Our family visited France earlier this year and for me it was nostalgic to revisit the sites with Cash and our box. I can tell you from experience it was definitely less expensive! Even though we studied the country before our trip, The Landmark Kids would have been much easier and more interesting preparation.
You can choose your favorite option for your The Landmark Kids Subscription Kit. You can order month to month, pick a 3 month subscription, 6 month subscription, or yearly box set. Each month you’ll receive a cute little yellow box, filled with surprises. Your child is the sleuth, solving clues, cryptograms, and puzzles, to figure out that month’s mystery. The Landmark Kids is a great supplement to your social studies lessons, makes a super nifty present from the grandparents or a cool birthday gift for a friend.
Does your child like escape rooms and other games? The Landmark Kids is guaranteed to hold their attention. My little graphic novel fan loved the included top secret mission with its storyline in comic form. It took no prompting on my part for him to dive right in to decode the clues. In just the France box, Cash completed reading activities, learned new vocabulary, delved in architecture and landmarks, practiced his French, played with the Greek alphabet, and even did a little math. The Landmark Kids makes geography a multidisciplinary study and helps cultivate a global citizen that becomes curious about the world and cultures around them.
This wasn’t our first time exploring geography with The Landmark Kids Monthly Subscription. Each box is expertly curated and the materials included can be used again to extend the learning or as a supplement to your own geography curriculum.
In our Australia box we got a kangaroo shaped cookie cutter and a boomerang. It was Hands on Learning nirvana.
In the France box we received:
⁃ A cool, STEM souvenir (be prepared to build… lights included!)
⁃ An Interactive Map with searchable QR codes linked to great resources
⁃ A tiny map button perfect for adding to your favorite hat or jacket
⁃ Collectible Full color Info Cards of famous sites in France (You’ll use these to help solve the case!)
⁃ A Mission Pack of clues for your child to ponder, a connected story and more facts and vocabulary focused on the featured country (Make sure you watch the Intro Video a the beginning of your mission to get started)
⁃ An easy to follow recipe from that country with a little history added in
Our favorite part of The Landmark Kids France box was the souvenir – a lit basswood diorama of Paris. Cash was able to put it together himself with very little help from me – especially since it came with both a card containing a QR code for an instructional video and a printed instruction sheet. You had to snap the pieces together to form a layered three dimensional scene. Using the usb cord that powered a string of tiny LEDs we were delighted with a glowing keepsake that everyone in the house marveled over. As Mama, I won out and Cash let me keep it.
So, are you ready for an adventure? Head to The Landmark Kids site and get your boxes today. The subscriptions offered are super affordable and shipping is free.
